Why We Celebrate Christmas
In early America, Christmas was banned. It wasn't until the late 1800s that Christmas became a legal holiday. The Puritans viewed Christmas as a pagan celebration. Indeed, many of the traditions today associated with Christmas came from pagan celebrations. But the virgin birth and the nativity are recorded in God's Word. So the commemoration of Christ's birth should be practiced, in the very least, by reading the Gospel records. In today's sermon, Pastor Rogol explains why we celebrate Christmas. Text: John 1:14
